Astrology has been practiced for over 4,000 years. In the old days, this practice was done by hand and took many hours of work. Trained astrologers obtains a birth chart from the person who wants to know what the future holds. For some people, a reading prepares them for life events. The most common questions a person may have involve a relationship with a loved one or can be job-related. The astrologer will require a person's date of birth, exact time and place of birth to interpret an astrology chart. When this is done, a natal chart is created which provides where the planets were located at the time the person was born.
Many celebrities seek the services of an astrologer to tell them what may or may not happen. Nancy Reagan was known to believe in the practice of astrology after learning that another president had his chart read. Joan Quigley consulted with the President‘s wife and gave advice based on the planet's movements.
The Internet has a plethora of astrology web-sites where one can find someone to tell them their horoscope or perhaps do a tarot card reading. Many people purchase astrology or tarot card software that provides specific information.
These days, astrology covers many aspects of the planets by creating different charts. Some of these charts are for relationships, compatibility, relocating, and what is called a progressive reading. Each chart has a recommended time frame to cover a year's event. Some people consult astrology and tarot card readers on a regular basis. Astrology readings vary in the type of reading and in price.
People who are interested in learning the practice of astrology also have the option to join an organization called the American Federation of Astrologers. Both astrologers and students of astrology attend conferences to keep up with the knowledge involving astrology. This organization also gives one the ability to become certified.
